Archie was born in November, 2010. By now Hilary and Jeremy were well versed in having babies and Archie’s birth was no different. We saw the signs, went to hospital, had a baby. Job done. Except Archie had other plans.
Later on the day of his birth, doctors suggested that Archie may have Down Syndrome. 1 week later chromosome tests confirmed this. During the pregnancy, nothing had in any way happened or been highlighted to suggest that this may happen.
Archie has been the easiest of our 5 babies. He pretty much sleeps through the night, he has a very affable and amenable character and a very ready smile. He gurgles away to himself and loves sucking his thumb.
