So we spent a good three hours yesterday waiting for the big event – the 25m Breast stroke.  Jamie was very excited and despite the fact that he did a ‘screw kick’ for part of the race the very kind judge let it pass and he was allowed to enter his time and consequently win a medal.  It all seemed a little over serious to me – the fact that Jamie entered a race and completed his length should surely be enough for a pat on the back and an inspiring medal, but it seems that we are entering the world of serious competition……
