Go team GB!

Today when I woke up I opened my curtains and saw the glorious day outside, spectacular conditions for going to Weymouth to see Uncle Andy do his sailing.  When I walked downstairs I made breakfast for us all before leaving for the car park full to the brim with brand new double decker olympic buses.  We then got onto one of the buses (we sat on the top) and drove off to Weymouth, where my Granny and Grandpa were waiting for us to arrive.

When we got there we all walked down to the brilliant beach with the sun shining down on the brilliant blue sea where all sorts of great, fun activities were going on such as canoeing, cricket, football, table tennis and more!

First of all me, Ollie and Sam tried the cricket where you had to do catching against a rebounder, batting and trying to hit targets and throwing as hard as you could (with a machine that monitored how fast you threw in miles per hour).  After we had finished that we moved onto football, rowing (on a rowing machine), pingpong and then tag rugby!  (My favourite sport was probably the canoeing, it was epic!)

After we had finished tag rugby (I scored two tries!) we went onto the beach and watched Uncle Andy do his sailing in the olympics (he came first and second – at the time that I am writing this, he and Iain are now coming first overall!)  We then watched some of the canoe slalom after which me and Ollie went off to try canoeing in the sparkling sea (It was really fun and very exciting).  We got quite wet and we had a great time, but afterwards my wrists were killing me.  After we had finished we went back to the beach and then had an ice cream.

About five minutes after we had had our ice cream we got back on the bus (we sat on the top again).  After we had got off the bus Mummy said we could go back to our house in Granny’s car if we wanted to, so we all got in.  On the way home I had a little sleep because I was exhausted from my busy day of sporting activity.  When we finally got home I had a brief shower before getting into bed and falling straight asleep.

What a great day and look at these two brilliant rowers!
