Who ever knew there was such a thing?  And until Archie came along, we were among the gloriously uneducated.  How that has changed.

A reminder of our honeymoon

While we were in hospital in the intensive care unit, and before we had received the diagnosis of DS, we talked about having a dinner party to thank the few people who had really helped us out and made things easier before and after Archie’s birth.  Little did we know that the episode was going to stretch out for the time it did.  When we finally settled down in our house to talk about this occasion again we were overwhelmed by the number of people who we owed a huge debt of thanks to, and we realised that a chilli wasn’t going to work anymore.

We had also heard about ‘National Down Syndrome Awareness Day’, and we were obviously in the thick of that now, so we decided that this would be the best moment to throw a party to thank all of our wonderful wonderful friends.  And that’s what we did.
