We went to a christening at the weekend where I had a fantastic chat with my Gran, who is approaching 90 years old. She is confused by the changes in this country and can’t quite adapt to all of them. After a couple of glasses of wine she talked in great depth about her family’s history and I learnt a great deal – a fascinating conversation. It was a great weekend, a proper family occasion where we got to spend time and talk about things.
