Last night we wrapped up all the perfect, the messy, the tiresome, the grateful, the sad, the exciting, the happy, the hard and joyful moments of 2013, tucked this precious parcel away and today we embraced the amazing potential of 2014 and all the experiences it holds for our family and friends.  A fresh New Year with 365 days to play with – new opportunities and new beginnings.

So a Happy New Year to all our family and friends – thank you for being part of our family and letting us be part of your lives.  Today I am grateful and hopeful and we wish you all a happy, healthy and joyous year.

At the beginning of 2013 I set out on my own mini project to take a photo a day on my phone and and the little film below shows the photos in order.  It is an honest and real snapshot of our family life but I love each feeling, each memory that is tied to each of these photos –  be it the posed family shot, the pile of washing, the mess of bags in the hallway, a sleeping child, a celebratory moment or a hideous selfie.  From the mundane to the magical moments this is a tapestry of our 2013 and we are grateful for all the opportunities this year allowed us.
