My Christmas Diary by Ollie!

For my homework for school I have to write a diary entry for Christmas and my Mum has said that I can write it on our family blog so here it is!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve I was in my final Christmas show called Christmas Spectacular at the Regent Centre and I was feeling extremely happy but also a bit sad because it had been fun doing the show but it had tired me out lots, plus, it was Christmas Eve so I was feeling extremely excited about putting all the things out for Father Christmas.  My last show went great and I enjoyed it thoroughly and I was extremely happy when it ended because I knew we would be putting out all the things for Father Christmas and his elves.  When I got home we put up our stockings and then we went round to our friends Lorna’s for a party.

The party was great, we played lots of hide of seek and the grown ups had a few drinks (quite a lot!)  When we got home we started a fire and rang the bell for Tinkerbelle, then we burnt our letters up the chimney and Daddy  soot on his nose.  We said ‘Goodbye’ to our elves Bob Sleigh and Joyful and I left them a rocket to help them fly back to the North Pole.  We put out carrots and pots of reindeer food and a glass of beer for Father Christmas and then just as we were going to bed we found a letter each from Father Christmas.  My letter told me about a competition Santa had to see who could pull his sleigh!   We all went to bed really late and really tired and excited!

Christmas Day

When I woke up I stayed in bed because I felt extremely tired because of the night before, suddenly though, it dawned on me that today was Christmas day!  I was just about to jump out of bed, but then, I remembered that mummy and daddy had told us to stay in bed until the house was completely wide awake. After a couple of minutes I realised that my older brother Jamie, who is an utter beast (Jamie wrote that) was awake.  After a further ten minutes me and Jamie decided to help our other brothers to wake up, this took the form of switching on and off lights until they woke up and in the next thirty seconds half the household was awake!  Then in the next thirty seconds to wake our Mum and Dad – the funniest part of the plan, we stood outside their room and I sang Christmas carols to wake them up.  We crept downstairs to see if Santa had been and hurray he had!  We all walked in and saw our stockings and a sack each bulging with presents.  It was great!  We tore open our presents (some of mine being lovely hair products and lynx shower gel).  One of my favourite that I got was a Lucozade bottle which went on to last me for a long time. I had some lego, some snow, chocolate, some cool wings for my shoes, new baseball boots and welly socks and a onesie to name a few!  It was lots of fun!

Then we got all of our favourite Christmas presents and put them in a bag because we were going up to our Granny’s.  In my bag I bought my epic penguin onesie, some coca cola lip balm and a toy wiggly worm.  One hugely boring hour later we arrived at Granny’s house where we ran in and said hello to our granny and our cousins Ben, Tom, Abbie, Sophie, Isabel and Toby.  We all had lunch together – there were 19 of us!  We then gave and received brilliant presents – my favourite being my hot wires electricity set.  Then we skyped Auntie Susanna, Uncle Matt, Charlie and Zoe who are in Washington ( Our Great Granny couldn’t believe the new technology) and wished them Happy Christmas.  Then we went back to our Granny’s house and played with our toys and our cousins Ben and Tom before going to bed.  It was a brilliant day and I loved all  my presents!

Boxing Day

In the morning we just played and played and played with all our new toys and had loads of fun until Ben and Tom arrived and we had lunch.  Our second cousins also came for lunch as they were coming to visit great granny.  We played laser hide and seek in the dark with Sam’s torches and I won TWICE!  Unfortunately it started raining so we had to go inside, however, we found Gangsta Granny on TV and could watch it.  I found it really funny.  I had had a great time on Boxing Day and was pleased to be with all my family!
